A few days ago, we talked about our change in approach to PvE in Overwatch 2 and released a high-level roadmap for the year. It's been an emotional week in the world of Overwatch. I've a couple friends who was looking forward to PvE as well and told them to quit not long ago after I found out.Hey all. They used the Battle Pass to decide if they were gonna keep it pvp only if it made them money. I never cared about those who look down on pve players so I was on board with it. I was hyped about the PvE cuz I loved those events. (Same with Hots) so I retired from pvp games & CoD isn't what it used to be & I have no interest in Battle Royal style games thanks to my disdain for Fortnite(Seein all those Youtubers and Celebs doin Fortnite dances tryin to be relatable) got sick of my rank being dependent on other players especially since I knew about the 'Forced Lose' mechanic they have where they put you in matches you aren't favored to win if you win too many matches until you lose. I played OW since it came out got bored of pvp. Hopefully by 2023 with the addition of PvE, it will be much closer to what was promised (assuming they keep to their content release pipeline promised in their roadmap). Those are the kind of problems that take a months (if not years) to fix. But it's also no secret OW2 has had a troubled development and needed a major philosophical change (losing your creative director and executive producer is a big deal). It would be cooler if we could be excited for more. That being said, the game isn't going to be what we were shown in 2019 and I agree that sucks. It's a complete 180 from what it was like under Kaplan. I'm also pleased with how Team 4 is taking and implementing feedback so much faster and being more communicative. As someone who enjoys OW lore a lot, that's very exciting and I can't wait to dig into it all. there's actually a ton of new lore stuff coming (a lot of the heroes are getting reworked or completely rewritten bios, a Sojourn novel is coming the week after launch, and next year we are getting a lore bible). Well there's (presumably) also the return of things like shorts, hero teases and backstory videos, new cosmetics.
